Dedication of the Lee Belle Johnson Senior Recreation Center

10:30am, Senior Recreation Center, 301 S. Foch, Truth or Consequences Join The Friends of Lee Belle Johnson for the Dedication of the Lee Belle Johnson Senior Recreation Center. Lee Belle (1911-2010) was a local rancher, farmer, municipal judge, and musician who lived a long and illustrious life devoted to graciousness, friendship and writing and reciting her own award-winning cowboy poetry. "On Call" will perform during the ceremony, and refreshments will follow. Stories, anecdotes, and especially photos of Lee Belle are being solicited to be used as part of a permanent public display and/or publication. Donations to defray the expenses associated with this project, including new signage for the Center, are being accepted at First Savings Bank, 915 N. Date.
